Construction Details Drawer faces are attached to the sides with sliding dovetails, one of the strongest joints known. Drawer slides come in two choices: nylon roller metal slides and waxed, hard maple wood runners. Both mount on the sides of the drawer and provide a smooth, effortless action. Bed joints slide apart to facilitate transportation. The side rails have metal hooks which insert into metal slots recessed into the headboard and footboard. Beds have a boxspring substitute built in. Ten wide maple slats make up a sturdy platform.
