Finishes Each piece of solid furniture is multi-coated with a clear polyurethane resin finish, applied by brush and rubbed down by hand. Surfaces are extra-fine sanded between coats, ensuring a level finish. This process produces a satiny smooth feel. It is the best way we know of protecting the surface while retaining the warm feel of the wood. There is no special care required. An occasional dusting with a spray furniture polish will keep the wood clean and lustrous. Unlike an oil finish, which requires regular replenishment, the resin surface we use stays put on the surface, where it is most needed.
